Rendering files: agree on size, format and intended use
Specify image dimensions, crops and delivery formats before production, with separate requirements for websites, presentations and printed material.

“High resolution” is not a complete delivery specification. An image should be prepared for its intended use, including dimensions, crop and any requirements from the publishing or printing team.
Describe where it will appear
List the planned uses: website hero, property listing, presentation slide or printed brochure. Ask the receiving team for required pixel dimensions, aspect ratio and accepted formats. For print, provide the physical placement size and the printer’s requirements rather than assuming a screen export is sufficient.
Agree on the deliverables
Specify whether you need a master image and separate web versions. Confirm whether editable source files are included or excluded; they are not the same as final rendered images. Identify any transparent background or text-free version required before production.
Test the actual layout
Check a sample crop in the intended page or template. Keep important furniture and architecture away from areas likely to be covered by text or trimmed. Retain the agreed originals and use copies for channel-specific exports. This avoids repeatedly resizing an already reduced file when new uses arise.
